Professional member of the Grammy Recording Academy, Roger is a Telecommunications Engineer specializing in Sound and Image. He graduated with honors, receiving the Best Academic Record award from the Official College of Telecommunications Engineers and earning distinctions in the Final Project "Digital Signal Processing".
Soon after, Roger obtained the title Specialist in Studio Production with Pro Tools from Berklee Music, and since he's worked producing, recording, mixing and mastering all kinds of musical projects.
The people he's worked with usually highlight two important qualities: a deep technical knowledge, and an innate understanding of the modern sound.
Roger has been involved in many interesting projects during his career. It is difficult to pick out just a few, but some that have achieved media success are "Beyond Classical", under consideration for the 62th Grammy Awards (Best Contemporary Instrumental Album), "Voorpret", under consideration for the 60th Grammy Awards (Best Alternative Album), "Paradoja", used in the promotional campaign of the movie "Inception" (Leonardo DiCaprio, Michael Caine) at Canal+, or "Los Vivos", from the original soundtrack of "Promoción Fantasma".
As an expert in technological advances in audio, Roger regularly collaborates with different media, and his articles are published in leading magazines such as Sonic Scoop, Future Music, Computer Music, ISP Música and Producción Audio. He's written over 80 articles: educational texts, analysis, and reviews of products from Avid, PMC, Telefunken, SPL, ADAM, Steven Slate, Thermionic Culture, Shure, Beyerdynamic, AKG, Violet Design, JBL, Motu, Presonus, Yahama, Native Instruments, etc.
Some of those have been noted, such as "Recording Drums at PKO", "Capturing the Perfect Acoustic Guitar Tone" and "Recording E. Guitars: Where to Shoot at the Cone". While now an engineer and producer, he started his career as a musician, the drummer with the band La Pena Negra. Roger has played on many stages and TV sets as Buenafuente's late night show.
